I love verses like Psalm 79:9 that remind us that our salvation is not just about us—it is for God’s glory, for His Name’s sake, for His purposes in the world. 

What has God delivered you from recently? Who around you needs to hear that story?

Psalm 79:9

Help us, O God of our salvation,

   for the glory of your name;

deliver us, and atone for our sins,

   for your name’s sake!

O God, at Christmas You revealed Your plan of salvation for the world by sending Your Son to earth. You are our Help and our Salvation! You help us and save us for the glory of Your Name among the nations. God, we are so grateful that You sent Jesus to deliver Your people and atone for our sins. Please help people in the Buddhist world to hear of Your salvation! Please reveal Your deliverance and forgiveness to those who have not yet heard of You, for Your Name’s sake and for Your glory in the Buddhist world. Amen.
