Three’s Company

More company!  You can probably guess when I am far behind on my blog that special people are in town, and are perhaps even staying at my house 🙂

This week, my friends Kelly, Brenna, and Matt came to visit.  I’ve known Kelly since (my) birth, and her younger sister Brenna since Brenna’s birth.  Brenna married Matt last year, and I met Matt a few times in CA before I moved to Thailand.  So it was a great treat to have them stay with me for four days and show them my new hometown.

We mostly ate a lot of food.

🙂  I love Thai food, and thankfully so did they.  I took them to as many restaurants as I could in those four days, so we often had breakfast, snack, first-lunch, second-lunch, first-dinner, snacks, second-dinner, and a “midnight” snack by 9pm.

On Thursday we had an especially thrilling adventure of ziplining through the jungle!  Pardon the semi-awkward pictures… rapelling harnesses can only be so attractive.

oh and yes I forgot to wear shoes so they had to tie my flipflops on with string.

Brenna and Matt swinging through the forest – turns out you go a lot faster with two people together!

had to throw in the standard Thai picture peace sign

Kelly and me on one of the “sky bridges”

upside down was fun too

Thanks Kelly, Brenna, and Matt for such a fun week!  I’m thankful to God for bringing old and new friends into my life in Chiang Mai. 🙂

Lauren, I thought I would want to do this when we come, but now I am having second thoughts!!! I don’t want to go upside down!
    Love, Mom
